Young People

For 11 - 17 year olds.

FDY (11-17 Year Olds)

What is FDY?

FDY stands for Foundry Youth and is made up of young people between the ages of 11-17. FDY exists for young people from all walks of life to be themselves, become part of the FDY Family and have the opportunity to get to know Jesus. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to feel seen, heard and known. We know more than ever, that when things feel confusing, having somewhere to turn to is really important. So if you (or your young person) would like to find out more about who we are and how you can get involved in FDY, email [email protected].

When is FDY?

We hang out together most Friday nights usually at 7:00-8:30pm, but times do vary according to the activities. Sometimes we’ll have after school hangouts, weekend events or school holiday extras too, so take a look at @fdyouth on Instagram for the most up to date info. Fridays involve a mixture of games, activities, trips, tuck shop, workshops, relevant talks, to water fights and Fifa Tournaments.

At FDY we believe our best life is one with God in it, so we take some time most Fridays to talk about God and how we can live with God at the centre of our life.

Our schedule changes during the school holidays, so keep in touch on social media and stay up to date by checking out our Instagram page.

Safety

In all our youth provision safety is our priority. We make sure each room that is used is safe in its layout and equipment. All our volunteers are screened with an application process and a DBS is carried out, as well as ongoing child protection training.

Safeguarding

As a church we are committed to creating and preserving a safe environment for all. We take safeguarding seriously and have a dedicated team working in partnership with ThirtyOne:Eight, the only independent Christian safeguarding charity in the UK.
