Our address is: The Foundry Church, Lugsdale Road, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 6DA. We are opposite Tesco Extra and the Widnes Shopping Park/KFC.
We have free on-site parking for up to 200 cars. Our car park team will assist you and show you where to park on arrival. If you are visiting for the first time, put your hazard lights on to let the team know and they’ll make sure you are looked after.
Our services last no more than 1 hour 15 minutes.
Whatever clothes you feel comfortable with, we don’t have a dress code.
You can sit anywhere in our main arena! You might find the odd chair is reserved for people who are involved in the service, but other than that, sit where you like. Our stewards will be on hand to help you on the day with any questions or concerns.
At our 9:30am service, we have a dedicated children’s programme that runs for all children aged 3 to 10. Please note there is currently no children’s provision in our 11:30am service.
The whole family is together for the singing part of the service. The children go out for their age specific groups during our video news section of the service, there will be a rocket that appears on the screen and when it’s time for blast off, our stewards will be on hand to show you in the right direction.
For more information about what happens in our children’s provision, visit this page.
At the end of the service, you simply collect your child from their group. Full information on how to register and collect your child is available from the Information Desk before the service starts.
Wonder is our crèche facility for parents/carers to look after 0-2 year olds during the service. Wonder is available during both services and provides a live video feed from our main service for parents/carers to follow along.
Our services always begin with a short video welcome from one of our team, explaining what you can expect that morning. Then we sing three songs together, this is led by a band (either live or via video) with the words appearing on a large screen so that you can follow along and join in if you want to. After that, we sometimes share communion, give some information about upcoming events and at this point in our 9:30am service, children go out to their groups. Then one of our Pastors shares for about 30 minutes. They share from the Bible what they believe God is saying and offer advice and inspiration as to how to live out what the Bible says, throughout the rest of the week. The service then closes with a song and prayer.
You don’t have to pay to come to church. We do take up an offering each Sunday for people who wish to support the work of The Foundry Church. The Foundry Church doesn’t receive any external funding; we only operate because of the generosity of those people who give to the continued work of the church.
Most people who want to support the work of the church do so via monthly standing order; if you want to support the church in this way you can find out more information here.
Our café area will be open in between the two services, 10:45-11:15am. This is an opportunity for coffee and cake, and to connect with friends or make new ones. All tea and coffee is free of charge; we just charge for the cake.
We also have a Connect Point to the side of the main arena for you to come and say hello and find out more on how to get connected with us as a church. There will always be a friendly face there waiting to connect with you.
The Foundry is a place where everyone is welcome. Please have a good look around our website, or get in touch via our contact page and one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
We understand that visiting somewhere for the first time can be a daunting experience. With that in mind, if you are joining us for a Sunday morning then why not let us know so that our guest host team can look out for you. Simply fill out the contact form below and we’ll be looking out for you:
