In Acts Chapter 1, Jesus told his disciples to wait for a gift that His Father had promised, a gift they would need – in fact, so much so that Jesus told them not to go anywhere or do anything until they’d received it! What was this gift, this promise?
The gift was the baptism in the Holy Spirit. A baptism, not by water, by a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit – that looked like power. Not controlling power, but power that resembles dynamite – power that we need as Christians to tell others about Jesus, to live for Jesus and make our lives all about Jesus.
Without this gift, without this power, we are not going to fulfil the potential for our lives that God has placed inside each one of us.
Today, if you need power, reach out to Jesus and ASK for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. He promised it; so He’ll deliver. He always keeps His promises.
