Follow The Right Path

Philippians 3:13-14

Never before has this been true than these days which we are living in right now. It feels like the world has changed so much in the last 6 months, and the future is far from certain.

But we are called to press on towards the future, towards the goal to win the prize (see Philippians 3:14). How do we do this when there is so much uncertainty, so much about life that we can’t predict or know?

There are different ways we can face the future, different paths we might be tempted to take to guarantee a better future. But there’s one path that leads to life and peace, the path of the Word of God (Psalm 119:105).

This September, let’s get into the Bible again. The Bible is a guidebook, a love-letter from God – not just an instruction manual on what not to-do in order to make it to heaven! And lets’ allow it to shape our lives. If we read it with an open heart, and with ears that will listen to the Holy Spirit, it will guide and lead us.

Some top tips for getting to grips with the Bible:

  1. Get hold of one – see the links below if you need to download a free one, or get in touch with us via our website, social media or and we’ll buy you one!
  2. Make some space to read it. It won’t compete with everything else. Create some intentional quiet in your world and let it to speak to you.
  3. Keep it short and chew on one or two verses daily. Go back to them during the day. The Word is like bread that feeds you all day if you let it.
  4. Begin to DO the Word – practice what you read.
  5. Share what it’s saying with someone. Get into community via a Connect Group – again, if you need to get into a group, contact us here and we’ll make that happen for you.

God is leading us towards our future and calling us to face it through His Word.

Cheering you on.
