How To Get The Most Out of Church

Acts 2:42-47

The first church we read about in the Bible, the church in Acts 2:42-47 were devoted both to what church is and to who church is – the people, the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). We see a church devoted and passionate about all the vital ingredients to great church (teaching/ fellowship/ breaking bread/ prayer) (Acts 2:42) but also devoted and passionate about making sure no one went without – this church clearly loved each other (See Acts 2:44-45).

These early Jesus followers knew that the laws of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7) apply to church life – you get OUT what you put IN.

Ask God this week to give you a passion and devotion for His house – the local church. He is looking for passionate devoted people who will act like owners and shareholders more than employees by taking an interest in the House, and people who will bring their real to church – and leave their fake at home. No perfect people allowed!
