Turning To Prayer

Nehemiah 1:1-11

All Christians struggle with prayer. It’s one of the hardest disciplines to adopt. But God wants us to draw close to Him through prayer. It’s quite amazing really that we get to speak and listen to the God of the Universe through prayer.

At the start of Nehemiah’s rebuilding process, he turned to prayer. Nehemiah knew that if he was going to have any chance of getting this project off the ground, before any bricks were laid, he needed to pray – to ask God how to do it, to get Gods help, to bring God in on the rebuild.

At the start of whatever we feel God is calling us to rebuild in our own lives, let me encourage you to start with prayer like Nehemiah. As we give it to God, we let Him carry the burden; and we grow in the courage needed to begin the process of change.

With God, through prayer – all things are possible!
